Melody Lee at DeltaTech Controls in Shakopee tells me she’s looking for a Mechanical Engineer. She says they also hire a lot of Pro/E designers at times. I’ve included her job listing below.

DeltaTech Controls is a leading global supplier of operator interface control solutions for off-road vehicle OEM’s.  Our core products include vehicle electronic control systems, electronic joysticks, multi-function grips, and electronic displays.  We currently have an exciting opportunity for  an outgoing, self-motivated individual to join our engineering team.

About The Job:

  • As a Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for;
  • New product design, development and reengineering of assigned product lines.
  • Provide company expertise in design engineering, collaborate with other engineers in support of development activities, re-engineering of products and production support.
  • Work with tooling vendors to produce tools and approve parts, coordinates design activities under Engineering Group Manager to develop products and product features for emerging markets.
  • Acts as a project technical lead for assigned projects

Requirements

  • Qualified candidates must possess a BSME with a minimum of 7 years engineering experience with electromechanical products that survive environmental conditions and use with plastic injection molded components.
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical design methodologies, data analysis and data interpretation for management summary reports, product cost reduction techniques, design principles of injection molded plastics as well as excellent written, verbal and presentation skills and a proven ability to successfully lead projects is required.
  • Experience with contactless sensing technology is a plus.
  • Candidates must also have the ability to work in a self-directed, fast paced environment.
